The holidays were so much brighter for DAP families thanks to YOU. So many from the DAP Community gave through Ad0pt-A-Family, the safe house and the agency. Donors who have supported DAP for years to new donors, all made an impact in the lives of so many during the holidays. Community organizations, churches, schools, local businesses, and individuals all helped to make the holidays special.
This year we had donors who picked DAP for the first time by finding our website or word of mouth. We had groups of friends who decided instead of a Pollyanna, they donated to DAP instead or another group that did a Pollyanna with toys, gave the toys to each other at their party, and then donated all to DAP – how neat. There was the family, that the children helped deliver gifts to the office because mom was teaching them about of kindness and generosity. Several school and church groups created bags specifically with goodies or items – some with handmade cards of encouragement and warm wishes for the new year.
You also made sure Nana’s Attic was not forgotten. Donation drives helped keep the store stocked, volunteer groups set up trees and décor, our dedicated volunteer kept the store warm and cheery every day and the many shoppers helped make for a great season.
Too often the clients of DAP have been hurt by those who claim to act out of love. YOU showed that love is kindness and there are people that care for one another and want the best for them and their family.
So many tears of joy and words of appreciation from very grateful parents … we can only add THANK YOU!!!!!
