On Wednesday, October 25, 2017 we had over twenty volunteers from SAP at Nana’s Attic Thrift Store – all in support of DAP. They did it all -from windows to moving furniture. This was an amazing effort to spruce up the store knowing that all proceeds benefit DAP’s mission to prevent domestic violence and empower victims of abuse.
The volunteers were tireless. We had window washers, silver polishers, they arranged clothing by size and color, purses, books and electronics was arranged, glassware cleaned and everything dusted. They even brought Christmas out on the floor – Nana’s is now ready for the holiday season.
Many of the volunteers found wonderful treasures to purchase and further support DAP. The team even found a great “SIMPLIFY” sign that is going right back to the office.
Nana’s Attic Thrift Store has been in operation for 15 years! The store is a revenue source for DAP as well as resource for clients. If a client needs clothing or items at Nana’s on their journey to a life free from abuse, it is provided at no cost. Every donation, consignment and volunteer hour benefits DAP and stretched the efforts of the dedicated staff and volunteers. Last year more than 20% of DAP’s total revenue was generated from Nana’s.
Thank you to Julie from SAP for arranging this amazing event. We hope your team returns soon! Thanks to the efforts of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey for helping to organize this great day of caring and community.
The store looks great, come on by and enjoy. Did we mention, we are ready for the holiday shoppers now?
