#HearMeOut was created by the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) in order to engage men and boys in the fight against domestic violence. The Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County is proud to join their campaign and we hope you will too! The steps are easy! Sign the pledge at pcadv.org/hearmeout/ and spread the word! Domestic violence has historically been deemed a “woman’s issue,” and it’s time to change that perspective.
Did you know 1 in 7 men in the U.S. are victims of severe physical violence at the hands of an intimate partner (NationalDomesticViolenceHotline)? By including men and boys in the conversation, not only are we preventing future incidents, but we are creating a more inclusive environment for survivors.
DAP will be continuing the Dine and Dialogue with our Facebook live series throughout June with guest speakers, all conversations are inspired by the #HearMeOut campaign.
Join us every Tuesday at 8pm to discuss healthy masculinity, positive male role models and healthy relationships for men and boys! You can follow us on FB for more information: @dapdelco
